About Raquel Hirsch

A senior Vancouver-based marketing and management consultant, Raquel has an impressive CRM, demand-generation, direct marketing, eMarketing, traditional marketing and corporate management background.

With over twenty years of senior marketing experience in High Tech, Real Estate, Travel & Hospitality, Retail and other industries, Raquel’s expertise is in Conversion Optimization; Customer Acquisition and Retention; as well as the development and strategic use of CRM, developing and implementing effective, integrated and ROI-driven strategies which incorporate traditional and interactive marketing with direct mail/email, web, search engine marketing, e-commerce and analytics.

Before starting Hirsch Strategies Inc. in 2002, Raquel held senior executive positions at Proximity Canada (Senior VP and Managing Director), Pivotal Corp. (Director, eMarketing Solutions), Rogers Video (VP Marketing), Intrawest (Director, Database Marketing), and BCAA (Director, Marketing).

Armed with an MBA from UBC, Raquel is a sought after speaker. Her teaching experience includes UBC, SFU and BCIT, plus numerous professional conferences and seminars across North America.

In her personal time, Raquel assists various non-profits with fundraising, mentors students and new immigrants, and is a Board Member of the UBC Alumni Association. She is a former Board Member of the Direct Marketing Association, the Greater Vancouver Jewish Federation, and Emily Carr College of Art and Design.

Raquel has recently chaired three winning Direct Marketing Days ('01, '02 and ,03), bringing marketing skills and professional development to over 1,100 marketers, and two successful Illuminating Achievement ('03 and '04), UBC's Annual Alumni Achievement Awards dinner. Raquel has a husband and two daughters (who still speak to her).
